After the inauguration at his headquarters this Saturday , Benoît Hamon unveiled a large part of his campaign team. Mathieu Hanotin, the loyal candidate and deputy of Seine-Saint-Denis and Jean-Marc Germain, who is close to Martine Aubry, will head the campaign team.
Piketty Advisor on Europe
A few names of his secretariat were revealed with Agathe Cage at his head. The former adviser of the Minister of National Education Najat Vallaud-Belkacem. His sister, Julia Cage, an economist and professor at Sciences Po, is also on the team, at the economic head of citizen governance. Benoît Hamon will be surrounded by seven spokespersons , including former culture minister Aurélie Filippetti , Jérôme Guedj, former support of Marie-Noëlle Lienemann, Naïma Charaï, deputy for Mamère in Gironde. Frédérique Espagnac, a former press officer of François Hollande, is also part of the team.
Among the close friends of Manuel Valls, only Luc Carvounas was integrated to the team. He is responsible for coordinating all parliamentarians.
The team will also be composed of a citizens’ council, with “40 people drawn by lot on a voluntary basis”. It will meet 3 to 4 times and will be consulted “on the key measures of the program” of the candidate.
